If you like to experience the joys and frustrations of life, this is the CD for you. The group features Elizabeth Ames as the vocalist and the writer or co-writer of eleven of the twelve songs on the CD.5/5(3).

  The answer is you haven't, unless the Countrypolitans played it at a recent gig, because Ames wrote the song. She and stand-up bassist Roger Conley plus guitarist Geoff Clarkson wrote or co-wrote the dozen songs on "Tired of Drowning," the band's first full-length CD, and they're all keepers, a rare enough feat for a first album.

  Apr 15,  · The band has sacrificed some of the retro honky tonk feel that made Tired Of Drowning such a great CD, for a grittier, slightly more rock oriented feel. But the songs are so good and the playing so enthusiastic that it seems like a natural progression /5(7).
